Candace is a first grade teacher at Waters Elementary School in Lubbock, Texas. Waters Elementary School is home to the Patriots whose school motto is PRIDE, which stands for Positive attitude, Respect, Initiate good choices, Dependable, and Enthusiastic. The mission at Waters Elementary is to focus on every child every day to help each child attain high levels of academic learning. Candace utilizes co-teaching strategies and technology to reach her students and engage them in a variety of learning activities. She is in her 7th year of teaching 1st Grade for the 2011-2012 school year. She thinks that teaching 1st Grade is the best grade to teach! She loves spending time with her family taking summer vacations to Florida to swim and play golf. She also has a dog named Einstein!
