Bio:
Lacey is a special education teacher at Waters Elementary School in Lubbock Independent School District. Lacey works with her students who have disabilities, including autism to be included in general education classrooms with their peers. She has learned that co-teaching with teachers is one of the best ways to ensure that her students with disabilities have the supports they need to be successfully included in the classroom. Waters Elementary School is home to the Patriots whose school motto is PRIDE, which stands for Positive attitude, Respect, Initiate good choices, Dependable, and Enthusiastic. The mission at Waters Elementary is to focus on every child every day to help each child attain high levels of academic learning.
